Starting another batch of my standard hard cider, and going back to the US-05 yeast out of convenience. This batch is using 4.5 gallons of Essential Everyday apple juice (on sale for $0.99 for 64oz!!!) with 1 packet of US-05 and 1 tsp of yeast nutrient. Each of the 64oz bottles of juice were shaken in the usual fashion: release vacuum seal, shake vigorously for 30 seconds, then pour in 1/3 bottle and shake vigorously again before pouring in the remainder of the bottle.
This batch is in the 5 gallon big mouth bubbler and in the workshop half of the basement alongside the Mad King Thorn pumpkin apple cider brew! It’s at 63.5°F, which should be just about perfect for a cider.
